ICMR recommends people to drink these 5 drinks and avoid sugarcane juice during hot summers.
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) along with the National Institution of Nutrition recently released a new set of revised guidelines for people. They released a long list of dietary tips that will help people stay healthy, keep diseases at bay, survive the summer heat and increase longevity. Among their list of guidelines, they also listed the best and healthiest drinks that are a must have during summer heatwaves. According to ICMR, you should stop drinking sugarcane juice because it is not as healthy as you think. Sugarcane juice contains too much sugar and this can be very unhealthy especially for diabetes patients. It contains about 13 15 grams of sugar per 100 milliliters. ICMR recommends to limit its intake. However, they did provide a list of 5 other drinks that will help people stay hydrated and healthy in summers.
